Anne Frank’s sentiment:
“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”
Could we say?
“How wonderful it is that no Christian need wait a single moment before starting to save the world.”

Scriptures for Prayer
Matt 6:5-15  Jesus taught His _____________ to pray.
And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. "This, then, is how you should pray:" 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.' For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Phil 4:6-7 We are ____________ for nothing through prayer.

I Chron 4:9-10 _________  asked God to _________ him.
Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez, saying, "I gave birth to him in pain."  Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain." And God granted his request.

Jesus Taught His Disciples to Pray.
Jesus’ words when the disciples ask Him to teach them how to pray.  Luke 11:2-4  He said to them, "When you pray, say: " 'Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come Give us each day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.  And lead us not into temptation. ' "
First Let’s Look at Luke 11:9-10 "So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.”  And Then, John 14:13-14 Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.
Let’s work together to complete responses below for things we might pray in our own words.

Praying for People
We who are Christians need to be very careful about judging the hearts and motives of other Christians. We who are Christians need to give great attention to our own hearts and motives. We who are Christians must learn to humble ourselves before God now in the full understanding that whatever we do now, we will without exception bow before God and Christ in judgment.  And as we are on our knees, we will personally give God an account of our hearts and our behavior.
Praying for those who are lost and for one another.

Praying for a person
Then begin praying for the 10 people on your list every morning and evening.  Begin to spend even more time talking with God about each person as you continue in your periods of prayer, day after day.  You will see a change in yourself as you make these daily appeals to God.  Prayer is the only way that God will act in our lives and in the lives of those for whom we pray.

There is no question that we may have the armor of God Eph 6:10-17, but we are also charged with praying v 18. “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.  With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.”  And we are to pray for the minister v.19 “Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 …… Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.”  We should be praying for our minister(s).
We cannot do anything without God.  When we work on a church service project, do we pray?  When we sit down at a church related meeting, do we pray?  Before we left home for the assembly or on a family trip, do we pray?

Pray for those who don't know Jesus.
(These should be local people, but may be family, that you have contact on a regular  basis.)
Introduce them to God.   Give a thorough introduction of each individual.   God already knows about them, but wants to hear you tell Him about the person.
Tell God how much you love that person.
Pray that God will soften their heart that they would want to hear the Word and obey it.
Pray for the person’s health and safety, asking God to watch over them.
Pray for members of that person’s family, by name, that they will be receptive to Christ as well.
Pray for their marriage that they have a sound, faithful relationship.
Pray for their children, by name, that they will do well in school.
Pray for their success in their job or educational endeavors.
Pray for yourself that you will quickly find the opportunity to ask them to study the Gospel with you.
Pray you will have the courage to discuss Christ with them.
And in addition to praying for them, morning and evening, study the Word and ask God to give you wisdom.
Each subsequent time that you pray for them, tell God, Remember _____  ______ that I have introduced to you.   Re-introduce them.  He/She is a sweet and kind person.
After you find the person is responsive, give God the thanks and ask God to continue to give His attention to the person using the statements similar to those above.
You may want to let the person know that you are praying for them at some point.
Note Paul’s Admonition: Romans 10:1   1Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved.
